DFD1 Construction Pictures



Step 1

Place notches on IC sockets as shown by arrows.

Solder in the .01 capacitors.

The DFD1 instructions ask that you put the 11 pin MALE header on this board. Either way works. I have always done it the wrong way, every time.

The 10K 10 turn pots are not mounted on the board when used with the receiver. They are tied to a relay that switches the correct values for the bands.

Step 5

A wire jumper is placed as shown on the image at the right side. The fine adjustment pot goes here, but is not used. A jumper from where the middle pin of the pot normally goes and ground sets the frequency offset of the fine adjustment to zero.
